OVERVIEW
The Polara
Refrigerated Range combines a
30" freestanding electric self-cleaning range
with a refrigeration cooling module. Both sys-
tems are controlled by an electronic oven con-
trol.
Delayed Cook/Cool Cycle
When a delayed cook cycle is programmed,
the Polara
refrigeration module automatically
keeps the food cool until the cook cycle begins.
If the delay cook time is less than one hour, the
automatic cool mode may be deactivated by
pressing the Cool keypad. If the delay cook
time is one hour, or greater, the automatic cool
function cannot be disabled without cancelling
the entire delay cook cycle.
The Polara
will maintain temperatures from
32° to 43°F (0° to 6°C) in the oven cavity for
up to 24 hours prior to a programmed timed
cook.
Cooling Cycle
A cooling function is available to cool food
items for up to 24 hours without programming
a cooking function. A 24 hour timer keeps track
of the accumulated cooling time. Once the
maximum time has been reached, the cooling
function will be locked out. This lockout pre-
vents condensation from forming in the cabinet
insulation due to the cool oven temperatures.
Further cooling functions will be disabled until
one of the following has occurred:
• 12 hours has elapsed with no cooling,
• A cooking function (preheat) has been
accomplished.

THEORY OF OPERATION

REFRIGERATION OPERATION

OR
If the oven does not cool to 50°F within 4 hours
and 20 minutes, the control will display the
error code "E0 F8." The display can be reset by
pressing the STOP/CANCEL keypad.
When the electronic oven control is set to cool,
the cooling module starts immediately if the
oven temperature is below 175°F (79°C). If the
oven is above the temperature limit, cooling will
not start until the temperature drops below
175°F (79°C).
Warm Hold & Automatic Cool Modes
When timed cooking has ended, the oven
automatically enters the "Warm Hold" mode.
This mode maintains a temperature of 170°F
(77°C) to keep the food warm for up to 1 hour.
If the Warm Hold mode is not cancelled within
the 1 hour period, the "Automatic Cool" func-
tion will energize, and begin to cool the food.
The refrigeration unit will run for up to 24 hours
to preserve the cooked food.
The Automatic Cool function can also occur
after a standard Timed Bake, which ends with
Warm Hold.
The "Warm Hold/Automatic Cool" feature can
be disabled by pressing and holding the Warm
keypad for 5-seconds.
