DESCRIPTION
This displays the in-band IPv6 link-local address that the Switch generates automatically.
This displays the out-of-band IPv6 link-local address that the Switch generates automatically.
Enter the IPv6 global address of your Switch using colon (:) hexadecimal notation.
Enter the bit number of the IPv6 subnet mask, that is, the prefix length.
Enter the IPv6 address of the default outgoing gateway using colon (:) hexadecimal notation.
Enter the VLAN identification number associated with the Switch IPv6 address. This is the
VLAN ID of the CPU and is used for management only. The default is "1". All ports, by default,
are fixed members of this "management VLAN" in order to manage the device from any port.
If a port is not a member of this VLAN, then users on that port cannot access the device. To
access the Switch make sure the port that you are connected to is a member of the
management VLAN.
Enter the IPv6 global address of your Switch using colon (:) hexadecimal notation.
If you change this IPv6 address, make sure the computer connected to this management port
is in the same subnet before accessing the Switch.
Enter the bit number of the IPv6 subnet mask, that is, the prefix length.
Enter the IPv6 address of the default outgoing gateway using colon (:) hexadecimal notation.
This field displays the index number of the Switch's IPv6 address.
This field displays the IPv6 address of your Switch.
This field displays the prefix length of the IPv6 address.
This field displays whether the IPv6 address is a global or link-local address.
This field displays whether the IPv6 address is preferred or not (tentative).
This field displays whether the IPv6 address is always valid (infinity).
This field displays whether the IPv6 address is always preferred (infinity).
Click Apply to save your changes to the Switch's run-time memory. The Switch loses these
changes if it is turned off or loses power, so use the Save link on the top navigation panel to
save your changes to the non-volatile memory when you are done configuring.
Click Cancel to begin configuring this screen afresh.
