Solution
• If the original is light,
press Darkness to
darken the background of
the copies.
• If the original is dark,
press Darkness to
lighten the background of
the copies.
• If defects appear on the
original, press Darkness
to lighten the background
of your copies.
• If no defects appear on
the original, clean the
document glass and
underside of the
document cover.
• Ensure the original is
positioned correctly on
document glass or that
ADF paper guides are
aligned.
• Check that paper is
loaded correctly.
Ensure that the original is
facedown on the document
glass or faceup in the ADF.
• Ensure the correct media
type is selected.
• Replace paper with a
fresh supply.
• In high humidity areas,
do not leave paper in the
machine for extended
periods of time.
