How to Remove the Parking
Brake Valve Assembly
GTH-636, GTH-1048 and GTH-1056
1 Locate and open the battery access door.
2 Disconnect the battery from the machine.
Electrocution hazard. Contact with
electrically charged circuits could
result in death or serious injury.
Remove all rings, watches and
other jewelry.
3 Remove the fasteners securing the seat box
cover in place. Set the cover to the side.
4 Tag, disconnect and plug the hoses from ports
1, 2 and 3 of the parking brake valve assembly,
located inside the seat box. Cap the fittings.
Bodily injury hazard. Spraying
hydraulic oil can penetrate and
burn skin. Loosen hydraulic
connections very slowly to allow
the oil pressure to dissipate
gradually. Do not allow oil to
squirt or spray.
Burn hazard. Contact with hot
fluids or components may cause
severe burns.
5 Tag and disconnect the orange and red wires
from the parking brake pressure switch.
6 Remove the fasteners and the bracket securing
the parking brake valve assembly in place.
Remove the parking brake valve assembly.
