6 Check the air pressure in the tire. Refer to
Section 2, Specifications .
Result - models with air-filled tires: The air
pressure meets specification. The tire is at the
correctly filled level.
Result - models with calcium chloride-filled
tires: The air pressure meets specification, and
a small amount of calcium chloride mixture
leaks from the valve stem when checking the
air pressure. The tire is at the correctly filled
level.
Result - models with air-filled tires: The air
pressure does not meet specification. Add air
until the air pressure meets specification.
Result - models with calcium chloride-filled
tires: The air pressure does not meet
specification OR the tire does not release any
calcium chloride mixture when checking the air
pressure. Add calcium chloride mix to the tire
as needed until it begins to leak out when
depressing the valve stem, and add air until the

Perform Hydraulic Oil Analysis

Note: Genie requires that this procedure be
performed every 250 hours or quarterly, whichever
comes first.
Replacement or testing of the hydraulic oil is
essential for good machine performance and
service life. Dirty oil may cause the machine to
perform poorly and continued use may cause
component damage. Extremely dirty conditions
may require oil changes to be performed more
often. Refer to Section 2, Specifications .
Note: Before replacing the hydraulic oil, the oil may
be tested by an oil distributor for specific levels of
contamination to verify that changing the oil is
necessary. If the hydraulic oil is not replaced at
the two year inspection, test the oil quarterly.
Replace the oil when it fails the test. See E-1,
Test or Replace the Hydraulic Oil.
