Check item
The surface of the OPC drum is scratched.
Dirty on the outside.
Contact terminals make good connection
between each drum unit and machine.
Developing bias contact terminal makes
good connection.
Original is damaged or dirty.
Scanner glass white sheet is dirty.
Original glass is dirty.
Check CCD lens surface against
contamination or foreign objects.
Result Action
Yes Replace the drum unit.
Yes Clean.
No Clean contact terminals.
No Clean contact terminal and check
terminal position.
Yes Change original.
Yes Clean or replace the pad.
Yes Wipe the surface clean with a soft
cloth.
Yes Clean the contaminated part.
