Adjusting the Left/Right hand volume balance
Adjusting the Left/Right hand balance allows the volume of each part to be reduced or increased. Setting the
volume of either the left or right hand part to 0, allows that part to be practised individually while the other hand
is played by the CP.
To adjust the Left/Right hand volume balance:
Step 1
Touch the L-R BALANCE field, then use the dial to set the balance to 5-1.
The volume of the right hand part will reduce until it is no longer audible.
This allows the right hand part to be practised while the left hand part is played by the CP.
Step 2
Touch the L-R BALANCE field, then use the dial to set the balance to 1-5.
The volume of the left hand part will reduce until it is no longer audible.
This allows the left hand part to be practised while the right hand part is played by the CP.
If the Beyer lesson book is selected, increasing the left hand value will decrease the volume of the student's part,
while increasing the right hand value will decrease the volume of the teacher's part.
Adjusting the playback tempo
It may also be desirable to reduce the tempo of a lesson song in order to allow complicated passages to be practised
more easily, or for learned passages to be polished.
To adjust the tempo of the selected song:
Step 1
Touch the TEMPO field, then use the dial to adjust the song tempo in BPM (beats per minute).
Depending on the lesson song, playback tempo can be adjusted within the range of 10 ~ 300 BPM.
To reset the playback tempo, re-select the lesson song.
Recording a Lesson Song practise
The Record feature allows the left or right-hand parts of the selected lesson song to be recorded to internal memory,
and then played back for self-evaluation.
To record a lesson song practise
Step 1
Touch the
icon.
Recording will begin after a 1 bar count-in. The CP will record while the lesson song is playing.
Step 2
Play the lesson song using the keyboard.
Step 3
Touch the
icon.
Recording will stop and the lesson song will also stop playing.
