ENGAGEMENT SPEED CHECK

1. Place the machine on a level surface of hard-
packed snow.
2. Check:
S Clutch engagement speed
Checking steps:
S Start the engine, and open the throttle lever
gradually.
S Check the engine speed when the machine
starts moving forward.
Out of specification ! Adjust the primary
sheave.

ADJUSTING THE BRAKE

NOTE:
Adjust brake every 40 hours of operation, or
whenever the brake lever becomes loose dur-
ing operation.
1. Measure:
S Distance "L"
Out of specification ! Adjust.
Distance "L"
54 1 mm (2.13
2. Adjust
S Distance "L"
Adjustment steps:
S Loosen the locknut 1 .
S Turn the adjuster 2 in or out until specified
distance is obtained.
Turning in ! Distance "L" is increased.
Turning out ! Distance "L" is decreased.
S Tighten the locknut 1 .
