TROUBLESHOOTING

A
1. Connect:
D Pocket tester
(to battery terminals)
2. Measure:
D Battery voltage
D Fluid gravity
Battery voltage:
more than 12 V at 20 C (68 F)
B
1. Start the engine and accelerate to 3,000
rpm.
2. Measure:
D Charging voltage
Charging voltage:
13.3 X 14.3 V/3,000 rpm.
CAUTION:
Never disconnect battery cables while
generator is operating or rectifier and
regulator will be damaged.
Correct connecter.
BATTERY IS NOT CHARGED.
OK
OK
CHARGING SYSTEM
OUT OF SPECIFICATIONS
D Check the battery.
D Replace and/or charge battery.
OUT OF SPECIFICATION
Check the fuse and charging coil.
OK
Replace the fuse, rectifier
and/or charging coil.
Replace voltage regulator.
