Playback
Does not perform as operated when playing a
commercially available DVD Video.
There are some DVD Videos and Video CDs with playback
controls set by the disc maker.
Can I perform reverse playback (-1x speed playback)
on Video CDs?
No. Reverse slow playback is also not possible.
Unable to perform 1.5x speed playback for HDD.
1.5x speed playback cannot be performed while recording on
HDD or DVD.

Perform after recording ends.
When does the memory for resume get cancelled?
The memory for resume will be cancelled when any of the
following is performed.

Pressing STOP/CLEAR while stopped.

Selecting titles from the DVD Video menu screen.
(And when setup menu is set to ADISC RESUMEB.)

Turn off this unit.

Removing the disc.
Thumbnails on the DVD deck are not displayed.
Set the channel to other than AdvB.
When the channel has been set to AdvB, the thumbnails will
not be displayed when using a disc that is not registered in the
library.
Dubbing
Can I dub commercially available DVD Videos to the
HDD?
Commercially available DVD Video discs are copy-guarded
for copyright protection purposes. Dubbing is not possible in
this case.
Can I control the DV camcorder connected to the DV
terminal?
Yes, but some models cannot be controlled.
During HDD Y DVD dubbing, will the programme
information be copied?
The recording date and time, channel, thumbnail pictures, and
chapter marks will be copied.
Can I change the recording mode when dubbing from
the HDD to DVD?
HIGH SPEED dubbing:
Dubs using the same recording mode as the HDD.
JUST dubbing:
Dubs using the same recording mode as the HDD, but when
the disc remaining time is insufficient, dubbing will be
performed using a lower recording mode.
MANUAL dubbing:
Can change to a mode lower than the recording mode of the
HDD.
What is the shortest dubbing time from the HDD to
DVD?
Theoretical figures during high speed dubbing are as the
numerical values below. (For a 1-hour programme recorded in
XP mode.)

DVD-RAM (Ver. 2.1/3x): Approx. 20 mins. (Max. 3x speed)

DVD-RW (Ver. 1.2/4x): Approx. 15 mins. (Max. 4x speed)
0
DVD-R (General Ver. 2.0/8x): Approx. 8 mins. (Max. 8x
speed)
During DV dubbing, the image is not output properly
from the camcorder connected to this unit.
Turn off the camcorder, then turn on and try again.
Editing
Recorded programme cannot be edited.
It is not possible to edit if a title protect mark is displayed at the
bottom left of the thumbnail for DVD disc. Edit after removing
title protect. [

To delete a part of a recorded programme.
Possible with HDD, DVD-RAM and DVD-RW/-R (VR mode)
discs. [

Operations cannot be performed after deleting
programmes.
When many programmes are deleted at once, wait until the
next operation can be performed.
