Presentation Modes

Presentation modes
This radar has the following presentation modes in the radar mode:
Relative Motion (RM)
Head-up: Unstabilized
Head-up TB: Head-up with compass-stabilized bearing scale (True Bearing) where the bearing scale rotates with the
compass reading.
Course-up: Compass-stabilized relative to ship's orientation at the time of selecting course-up.
North-up: Compass-stabilized with reference to North.
True Motion (TM)
North-up: Ground or sea stabilized with compass and speed inputs.
Choosing presentation mode by keyboard
Push the MODE key consecutively to select radar presentation mode desired. The PRESENTATION MODE box
shows the current presentation mode.
Choosing presentation mode by trackball
1.
Use the trackball to select the PRESENTATION MODE box at the top left corner of the screen.

Push the left button to select mode desired.
Loss of gyrocompass signal
When the compass signal is lost, alert "705: Gyro error" or "706: Gyro error" appears. After timeout, the
alert "402: No heading available" appears, the presentation mode automatically becomes head-up, and all TT
and AIS targets are erased. Check the gyro and select the presentation mode with the MODE key or the
PRESENTATION MODE box.
