Introduction
This chapter contains information on the following subjects:
Rear window heater
Sun visors
Rear window heater
First read and observe the introductory information given on page 35.
The rear window heater is switched on or off by pressing the 
switch; the warning light in the switch lights up or goes out.
The rear window heater only operates when the engine is running.
The rear window heater switches off automatically after 10 minutes.

For the sake of the environment
The heating should be switched off as soon as the window is de-iced or free from
mist. The reduced current consumption will have a favourable effect on fuel econ-
omy.
Note
If the on-board voltage drops, the rear window heater switches off automatically,
in order to provide sufficient electrical energy for the engine control
Automatic load deactivation.
Sun visors

The sun visor for the driver or front passenger can be pulled out of the fixture and
swivelled towards the door in the direction of the arrow
The purpose of the strap
is to store small, light objects, such as a notepad, etc.

The front passenger sun visor has a vanity mirror
WARNING
The sun visors must not be swivelled towards the side windows and into the
deployment area of the side airbags if any objects are attached to them, such
as pens etc. If the side airbags are triggered, this could result in injuries to
people in the vehicle.
