2.3 IBM 4722 EMULATION CONSOLE

The following figure shows the layout of the PR2 console in the IBM 4722 emulation.

2.3.1 MEANING OF THE KEYS

The keys have the following functions:
BREAK
Sheet ejection
STATION 1
Reply to operator reservation. This key is monitored via SW.
STATION 2
Reply to operator reservation. This key is monitored via SW.
Pressing the STATION 2 button while powering on the printer prints the "Self-test".

2.3.2 MEANING OF THE LEDS

The LEDs indicate the following machine states when they light up:
ON
Machine is powered
READY
When on indicates that a sheet of paper has been inserted. When flashing indicates
a paper jam.

Assigned to operator 1. Can also be switched from the line.
2
Assigned to operator 2. Can also be switched from the line.
3
Generic LED, controllable from the line.
Since the keys and LEDs are managed via SW, their meaning and usage can vary according to the
application SW being used.
