Engineer's Reset

If the Engineer's Reset option is enabled, if the panel has gone into alarm during the previous armed period, or if
a 24-hour zone has gone into alarm, the system will not be ready to arm (Ready Light OFF) until:
• Installer's Programming is entered
• Engineer's Reset is performed via downloading software.
This feature applies to Tampers and Faults in both armed and disarmed states. This does not apply to
Module Tampers, System Supervisories, Zone Expander or PGM2 Alarms.

Remote Reset of System (Lock and Reset Codes)

You can set up the system so that if there is an alarm, the keypads will lock out the users except for [✱ ✱ ✱ ✱ ✱ ][6] functions.
This will allow the user to initiate a call to DLS to allow the installer to determine the nature of the problem before
the system is reset. To do this, turn on the Remote Reset option. A Remote Reset will require a second zone
violation if Option 5 in Section [018] is enabled. When this option is turned on, the following conditions will cause the
keypad to be locked:
An alarm condition on a burglary zone when the system is armed (zone types 01-06, 09, 11, 21, 25 and 28)
An alarm condition on an audible 24-hour zone when the system is disarmed (zone types 11 and 21)
If one of the above conditions occurs, LCD keypads will display "System in Alarm" until a user enters their access
code. The keypads will lock and will display a 4-digit lock code.
If a user enters the Duress code to disarm the system, the keypads will not be locked.
If the Remote Reset option is turned on, you must use either ICON/LED keypads, LCD5500Z or
LCD5501Z(32-433) with software version v2.2U and higher.
If the Remote Reset option is turned on, you can only use the Escort5580TC v2.1U.
If the Remote Reset option and Reset Required after 2 Activations options are turned on, a remote reset
will only activate after a second zone violation.
When the keypads are locked, users will not be able to perform any system functions, except for ( ( ( ( ( [✱ ✱ ✱ ✱ ✱ ] [6]) ) ) ) ) user
functions, viewing the alarm memory ( ( ( ( ( [✱ ✱ ✱ ✱ ✱ ] [3]) ) ) ) ) or activating command outputs such as sensor reset ( ( ( ( ( [✱ ✱ ✱ ✱ ✱ ] [7]) ) ) ) ) . The
rest of the system will function as normal (i.e., alarms and troubles will still be monitored).
Users will only be able to unlock the system by entering a reset code provided by the installer or central station. To
get the code, the user will have to call the installer or central station and provide the 4-digit lock code which will be
displayed on the keypad.
On LCD keypads, the user will see:
Remote Reset Rqd
Code
XXXX
where XXXX is the lock code.
