Connecting the boiler to the heating system

CAUTION: Risk of system damage due to leaking
connections!
▶ Connect system pipes without stress to the boiler
connections.

Installing B-Kit

The pressure relief valve, the temperature/pressure gauge and the
check valve are connected to the boiler supply VK by means of the supply
manifold (included in B-kit).
CAUTION: Risk of system damage due to an incorrectly
installed B-kit or failure to install check valve.
▶ Make sure that the non-return check valve is fitted
correctly (observe arrow). The arrow indicates the
direction of flow. The non-return check valve
prevents water flow in the opposite direction to the
arrow.
▶ Install the B-kit including check check valve, with the direction of flow
away from the boiler (observe arrow on check valve).
▶ Align the B-kit so that the temperature/pressure gauge is oriented
horizontally with respect to the outside of the boiler and the pressure
relief valve points upwards ( Fig. 24).
▶ Insert seal in flange joint and tighten evenly.
We recommend installing an automatic air vent after the
B-kit on the supply pipe.

▶ Use the NPT double union supplied to install and seal the safety valve
in the connection provided ( Figs. 23 and 24).
▶ Install and seal the temperature/pressure gauge in the connection
provided ( Fig. 24).
Any additional safety devices required can be installed and sealed in
the remaining connections. Follow the manufacturers' instructions.

If a high limit safety cut-out is installed according to
ASME-CSD1 on the heating supply of the (B-kit), heed
the following:
▶ At the factory, a pump post-purge time of 5 minutes
is set on the BC10 controls. This value can be
increased but not reduced.
▶ If an external controller controls the recirculation
pump, a pump post-purge time of 5 minutes must be
ensured.
▶ Close off unused connections with ¾ " NPT plugs and
seal.
▶ Be sure to install a blow-off tube to the pressure relief
valve installed in the B-Kit.
CAUTION: Risk of system damage due to incorrect
installation!
▶ Make sure that the B-kit, including pressure relief
valve and check valve, is correctly connected and not
omitted from the boiler supply VK.
