6.3 Common Questions (and Answers)

Here are some questions that may have been answered in other places in this manual. We pulled
them together here for your convenience. And because you might not have read the whole manual.
When you need technical support, contact the sales company. Fill out the form on the facing page for
future reference.
• Can I mount the units in portrait
orientation?
• Landscape orientation?
• Can I rotate the image 90°?
• Can I tilt them forward or backward?
• Can I tilt them sideways?
• How do I get service help?
• One of the LEDs is flashing. Does that
mean trouble?
• One of the displays is darker than the
others.
• Can I set the display on flat top of a table?
• Can the unit be mounted flush against
the ceiling?
• Does the unit need any clearance on the
sides or back?

Yes. Either one is OK.
No. There is no way to do this.
Yes, the display may be tilted up to 15 either
forward or backward from vertical. There are
special, option, mounting brackets for 5, 10,
and 15° mounting, with the top angled down.
Yes, up to 20° either left or right.
Contact the company that sold you the displays.
It may mean something isn't right. The Standby
LED flashes for a short period during initial
power-up. When it is steady, the unit is waiting
for an ON command. The IR Remote Sensor
LED flashes whenever the unit detects infra-red
radiation, whether it comes from the remote
control or not.
A dark display can be caused by many things;
check them all. Start by displaying the White
internal Test Pattern.
• Black Level and White Level: Check them
both. Poorly set levels, or using a different
computer, can change brightness. See page
3-20.
• Color Balance: Check the color balance
using the internal test patterns. See page
3-34.
Yes, and you can operate in this position for
testing.
