5.1 Cleaning and Transportation
Maintenance is very simple, but transportation has some very strict guidelines. The screen can be
cleaned with a soft cloth and glass cleaner. In transporting the display, always keep it vertical; never
lay it flat while moving it.
Cleaning the screen
Any good non-abrasive glass cleaner can be
used to clean the screen. However, don't spray
the cleaner on the glass. Instead, spray the
cleaner on a clean cloth, and then wipe the
glass.
Why? If too much cleaning fluid drips down
the glass, it can wick up inside the electronics
and possibly ruin the display beyond repair. Be
safe. Spray the cleaning fluid on the cloth, not
the glass.
Always use a new, clean cloth or a new lint-
free paper wipe. Old cloth that has previously
been used for cleaning often contains grit, too
small to see, which can scratch the glass.

WARNING
Never transport the display laying
flat. Always ship or transport it
vertically.
The display screen itself is the most
expensive part of the unit, and if the glass
breaks, it is not repairable. If you lay it flat, even
if it is padded, and transport it in a truck or car
or plane or ship, it will break. Always, always,
always secure the display panel in a vertical
position to transport it.
When you carry it, always have two people
carry it. It's a little too heavy for one person to
manage comfortably. And carry it vertically, not
flat.
