To charge a battery slice

Use only the HP F1434A adapter. Using another adapter could damage your
OmniBook and void the warranty.
There are different methods for recharging the battery slice depending on whether it
is connected to the OmniBook or not.
Recharging the battery slice when connected to the OmniBook
This will recharge the computer's internal battery first, up to 10 hours to the
charging time (depending on its current charge level and whether the computer is
on or not).
1. Connect the power cord to the ac adapter and plug the power cord to an outlet.
2. Connect the ac adapter to the OmniBook.
3. You can recharge the battery slice while using the computer. However, it will
charge faster if you are not using the OmniBook.
See the chart on the following page for a list of battery-slice charging times.
Do not connect the ac adapter to the battery slice when the slice is connected to the
OmniBook or to the multimedia expansion slice. No charging will result!
Recharging the battery slice when not connected to the OmniBook
1. Connect the power cord to the ac adapter and plug the power cord to an outlet.
2. Connect the ac adapter directly to the battery slice, as shown.
