Configuring the OmniBook with PowerPanel
The OmniBook provides additional power management options though the
Phoenix ® PowerPanel™ utility. PowerPanel is a 32-bit application that runs under
Windows 95.
If PowerPanel is running in Windows, the PowerPanel settings override those in the
BIOS Setup utility.

To display the PowerPanel toolbar

By default, PowerPanel is preinstalled and displayed on the OmniBook.
• To display the PowerPanel toolbar, left-click the atom icon displayed at the
right end of the Windows taskbar.
There are five buttons on the PowerPanel:
• AC Profile (default power management settings when on ac power)
• Maximum Performance (power management settings for high performance)
• Maximum Battery Life (default power management settings when on battery
power; for extending battery life)
• Suspend to RAM (saves current work session and suspends activity to save
power)
• Save to Disk (saves data and current work session, and shuts down to save
power)

To close PowerPanel

• Right-click on the PowerPanel toolbar, then click Exit. The current power
management settings of the system remain activated.
