Configuring the OmniBook with Setup

To run the Setup utility

1. Close all applications, then shut down Windows and reboot the OmniBook.
2. When you see the HP logo, press F2 to enter the BIOS Setup utility.
3. The touch pad or mouse is not active in the Setup utility. Press the RIGHT and
LEFT arrow keys to move among menus. Press the DOWN and UP arrow keys to
move among parameters in a menu. Press F4 or F5 to change a setting. Press
ENTER to open a submenu. See the tables below for more information.
4. After you select the options you want, press F10 to exit the Setup utility.

Description
Sets the time using 24-hour format.
Sets the date.
Sets the floppy drive type.
Sets parameters of drive attached to
primary IDE adapter (hard disk drive).
Sets parameters of drive attached to
secondary IDE adapter (CD-ROM).
Selects the order the system searches
drives for a boot disk.
Select "Yes" if using a plug-and-play
operating system.
Selects power-on state for Numlock.
Sets the CPU memory cache.
Shows the system memory size.
Shows the extended memory size.
Shows the CPU type.
Shows the CPU speed.
