position and the driver door is
opened with the ignition off.
Headlamp Main/
Dipped-Beam Changer
Push the turn indicator stalk away
from you to turn the main beams on.
Pull the lever toward you and then
release it to return to dipped beams.
If the vehicle is turned off while the
main beams are on, they will come
on the next time the vehicle is
started.
This indicator light turns on in the
instrument cluster when the
high-beam headlamps are on.

Flash-to-Pass

This feature allows the main-beam
headlights to be used to signal the
driver in front of you that you want
to pass. The flash-to-pass feature
works with the dipped beams on
or off.
To flash the main beams, pull the
indicator stalk all the way toward
you, then release it.
If the headlights are off or in
dipped-beam mode, the main-beam
headlights will turn on. They will
stay on as long as the lever is held
there. Release the lever to turn
them off.

Automatic Headlamp

System

When it is dark enough outside, the
automatic headlamp system turns
on the headlamps at the normal
brightness, along with the tail lamps,
sidemarker, parking lamps, and the
instrument panel lights. The radio
lights will also be dim.
