■ IDAS operation

The IC-F3161D and IC-F4161D provdes Icom Dgtal Ad-
vanced System (IDAS) that meets the 6.25 kHz emsson
mask requrements for narrow bandng, and ncreases eff-
cency of channel allocaton and use of spectrum.
The optonal UT-119H/UT-126H provdes 6.25 kHz dgtal
mode operaton for the transcever that does not support dg-
tal communcaton.
NOTE: Durng IDAS operaton, BIIS 1200, MDC 1200
system and LTR ® operatons are not avalable.
■ IDAS-Trunk operation
The IDAS-Trunk system enables further effectve channel
management by sharng a mnmum of channels wth a large
number of users.
Push [Zone], then push [CH Up] or [CH Down]* to select
the IDAS-Trunk zone.
* The method to select the desred zone may dffer accordng to your
system set up.
NOTE: Durng IDAS-Trunk operaton, you can receve and
transmt dgtal calls n the same way wth the followng

IDAS OPERATION
■ Receiving a call
D Receiving a Voice Call
q When a Voce call s receved;
• Mute s released.
• The callng staton ID name (or code) s dsplayed whle recev-
ng the sgnal. (Dependng on the pre-settng.)
• When All Call s receved, "All Call" s dsplayed.
The calling station ID
name is displayed.
w Push and hold [PTT], then speak nto the mcrophone.
e Release [PTT] to receve a response.
D Receiving a Call Alert
q When a Call Alert s receved;
• Beeps sound.
• " " blnks.
• The callng staton ID name (or code) and "CALLALRT" blnk.
The calling station ID
name is displayed.
w Push and hold [PTT], then speak nto the mcrophone.
e Release [PTT] to receve a response.
