Walk and Talk

Diverse 4000 series handsets can
communicate with each other outside
the range of the base unit. When they
are out of range, however, they cannot
receive external calls.
Communication between two handsets
is possible when:
• Handsets are registered at the same
base unit and have currently
selected that base unit(see page 64).
Or
• Handsets have set Best Base unit
as their base unit setting.
Or
• The handsets are not registered with
any base unit.
Range
The maximum range between two
handsets whilst in Walk and Talk mode
is up to 300 metres. Please note that
batteries are used more quickly in
Walk and Talk mode.
To switch Walk and Talk
mode on and off
Press the Menu options button.

button until the display shows

Press the OK options button.

switch Walk and Talk on.

To use Walk and Talk
Walk and Talk mode must be
switched on for at least two
handsets.
Call a handset:
Press the Call options button.
Call
The called handset receives a
Walk and Talk message on the
display.
Answer a call:
Press the GREEN PHONE
button to take the call.
