Replacing the baseboard

Authorized personnel
Authorized specialist personnel can carry out replacement tasks for
integral server components. Ask you local Fujitsu service center for
more detailed information.
V
CAUTION!
Procedures indicated as "Authorized personnel only" must be
done by Fujitsu service personnel or technicians trained by
Fujitsu for doing these tasks. Please note that unauthorized
interference with the system will void the warranty and exempt
the manufacturer from all liability.
I
The baseboard is optionally equipped with a Trusted Platform Module
(TPM). This module enables programs from third party manufacturers to
store key information, for example drive encryption using Windows
Bitlocker Drive Encryption.
The TPM is activated via the BIOS system, see BIOS manual for the
D3144 system board.
V
CAUTION!
– Before replacing the baseboard, ask the customer whether TPM
functionality is used.
– If the customer is using TPM functionality, remove the TPM from the
old baseboard and install it on the new baseboard. Advise the
customer that he must provide you with TPM backup copies. For
security reasons, the TPM must be restored/re-saved by the
customer. After installing a new baseboard the TPM must be enabled.
You may not clear the TPM data.
