Putting a memory device in place
If your digital camera uses a memory device to record the image files, you can use it in your
multifunction terminal to print image files or other documents. It is also possible to digitise a photo or
a document with the scanner and to record it in the memory device (please see the paragraph Recording
a document in a memory device, on page 5-25).
Crystal Image function
Your terminal is equipped with the Crystal Image optimisation function that you can use to obtain an
optimal print quality.
Crystal Image has 2 components that can be used depending on your requirements:
• Image optimisation
• "red-eye" correction
Crystal Image automatically performs all the necessary adjustments and corrections to obtain the best
possible print quality in terms of image sharpness, and colour and contrast management. Also, exposure
faults will be corrected (for example, under-exposed photos swill be brightened or parts of a photo with
high contrast will be compensated).
The "red-eye" correction function corrects the "red-eye" effect on pictures taken with flash.

Printing a photo from a memory device

When you insert a memory card in your multifunction terminal, the card is immediately analysed. The
number of files on the card is displayed (by increments of 5), and then the media menu opens.
