Connections

Before connection, turn off
all equipment and read
the appropriate operating
instructions.
If your TV set supports RGB, in the Setup menu,
adjust the AV1 Output to [RGB 1] or [RGB 2].

Direct TV Recording
TV/DVD automatic switch on: Both units are automatically switched on with PLAY, DIRECT NAVIGATOR, GUIDE
or PROG/CHECK.
If your TV set is in standby mode, it is switched on automatically with FUNCTION MENU, PLAY or on inserting a disc
(not with DVD-RAM, DVD-R, DVD-RW (DVD-Video format) and +R).
DVD automatic switch off: If you switch your TV set off, the DVD Recorder will also be switched off if it is in the STOP
mode.
You can also program Timer Recordings using your TV set.

Connection with Scart cable

Select one of the described connection types A-E.
For this optimum connection type, you will need a fully wired 21-pin Scart cable (not
provided).

Connect the satellite dish to LNB IN of the DVD Recorder.
Connect the AV1(TV) terminal (21-pin Scart socket) of the DVD Recorder to the

Scart input of the television.

Connect the DVD Recorder and the television to the power supply system.
After completing the above connections, the DVD Recorder proceeds with the
Automatic Setup.
Conditional Access module: The size of the Scart terminal prevents the Conditional
Access module from being inserted in the slot afterwards. Insert the module before
completing the above connections.
