Cause & Solution
L You are using the cordless handset or base unit in an area with high
electrical interference. Place the cordless handset and base unit away from
interference sources, such as antennas and mobile phones.
L Disconnect the power cord and turn OFF the cordless handset to reset the
unit. Connect the power cord, turn ON the cordless handset and try again.
L If the last number dialled was more than 24 digits long, the number will not
be redialled. Redial the number manually.
L Fully charge the batteries (page 6).
L Clean the charge contacts and charge again (page 6).
L It is time to replace the batteries (page 5).
L Wipe the battery ends (S, T) and the unit contacts with a dry cloth.
L You dialled a call restricted number. Remove the number from the call
restricted list (page 48).
L The maximum number of cordless handsets are already registered to the
base unit. Cancel unused cordless handset registrations from the base unit
(page 49).
L You entered the wrong PIN. If you forget your PIN, consult your nearest
Panasonic service centre.
L Place the cordless handset and the base unit away from other electrical
appliances.
Cause & Solution
L The other party's fax machine is busy or has run out of recording paper. Try
again.
L The other party's machine is not a fax machine. Check with the other party.
L The other party's fax machine failed to answer the fax automatically. Send
the fax manually (page 25).
L Use the overseas transmission mode (feature #23 on page 41).
L Add two pauses at the end of the telephone number or dial manually.
L If your line has special telephone services such as call waiting, the service
may have been activated during fax transmission. Connect the unit to a line
that does not have these services.
L Another telephone on the same line is off the hook. Hang up the telephone
and try again.
L Try copying the document. If the copied image is clear, there may be
something wrong with the other party's machine.
L Adjust the scan contrast using feature #58 (page 43).
L The scanner glass, white plate or rollers are dirty with correction fluid, etc.
Clean them (page 64). Please do not insert a document before correction
fluid has dried completely.
