Placing the original on the machine

The ADF and platen glass can be used to scan originals with this machine.
When an original is placed in the ADF, the original is automatically fed
through the ADF and scanned.

Using the ADF

When using the ADF, multiple originals can be scanned automatically. In
addition, two-sided originals can be sent.

Close the ADF.

Align the originals starting with the first page.

Place the originals in the ADF with the side to be scanned facing up.
– To make a proper print of the Header Information (Sender
Name/Sender Fax No.), insert the trailing edge of the original into
the ADF.

Adjust paper guides.
– In Mixed Original mode, extend the
paper guides to fit the largest paper
size, and place the remaining
originals aligned in the top left
corner.
