Message Problem
The other fax machine is
not equipped with the
mailbox function.
The paper cassette has
run out of paper.
Malfunction
During sending / receiving
in memory mode the ca-
pacity of the memory was
exceeded.
The original is jammed in-
side the machine.
The top cover is not
closed properly.
The printout paper is
jammed inside the ma-
chine.
The control panel is not
closed properly.
The toner cartridge has
run out of toner.
The communication was
not successful.
There is no number stored
in this key.
Redial was unsuccessful
even after repeated at-
tempts.
The mailbox ID entered is
already assigned.
You have entered the
wrong pass-word.
The number of pages en-
tered does not match the
actual number.
The remote side has not
enough memory available
to receive.

Solution
Cancel mailbox transmis-
sion and try again.
Refill the cassette.
Call the technical service.
STOP
Press and print
the documents from the
memory to gain more free
memory. Ask the remote
side to transmit again or
transmit your document
again.
Follow the instructions
given earlier in this chap-
ter.
Close the cover firmly.
Follow the instructions
given earlier in this chap-
ter.
Close the
control panel.
Replace the toner car-
tridge
.
STOP
Press and try to
send again or ask the re-
mote side to send again.
Press the correct one-
touch key or enter the cor-
rect speed dial number.
STOP
Press , check the
fax number and try again.
Enter a new mailbox ID.
Enter the correct pass-
word.
Check the number of pag-
es and try again.
Send again whenever the
remote side is ready.
