Transmitting An Individual Call; Individual Call Using The Individual Directory - Standard Horizon Explorer GPS GX1700 Owner's Manual

The GX1700 has the capability to turn off the Individual and Group call ringer.

This feature allows the user to contact another vessel with a DSC radio. This
feature is similar to calling a vessel on CH16 and requesting to go to another
channel.
