Drive system - symbols and
messages
In some situations the drive system can dis-
play a message in the combined instrument
panel - follow the recommendation given if
appropriate.
Message
PURE not available due to low hybrid
system temperature
PURE not available due to temporary
hybrid system limitations
PURE not available due to low battery
charge
PURE not available when gear lever in
manual position
PURE available
POWER not available due to temporary
hybrid system limitations

This symbol illuminates in combina-
tion with a text message and an
acoustic warning signal if an unbel-
ted driver opens the driver's door
with the diesel engine or electric motor run-
ning.
Specification
One or more components in the drive system have
not reached the correct operating temperature.
Temporary system limitation, e.g. operating tem-
perature not correct.
The hybrid battery's energy level is too low.
The gear selector is in manual "+/-" position.
The PURE mode is available again after the previous
limitation.
Temporary system limitation, e.g. operating tem-
perature not correct.
The same thing happens if an unbelted driver
starts the engine with the driver's door open.
Here are some examples of messages, their
meaning and suggestions for action:

Drive in HYBRID mode until the message
changes to PURE available
