Placing information on copies

Placing a header or footer on pages

Load an original document faceup, short edge first into the ADF tray or facedown on the scanner glass.
Notes:
Do not load postcards, photos, small items, transparencies, photo paper, or thin media (such as magazine
clippings) into the ADF tray. Place these items on the scanner glass.
The ADF indicator light comes on when the paper is loaded properly.

If you are loading a document into the ADF tray, then adjust the paper guides.

From the home screen, navigate to:
Copy > Header/Footer

Select Header or Footer, and then touch

Select where you want to insert the header or footer, then select a text option, and then touch

Select where you want to print the header or footer, and then touch

From the Header/Footer menu, touch

Note: The message choices are Urgent, Confidential, Copy, Custom, and Draft.

When the ADF begins processing a document, touch Cancel Job on the printer control panel.
