Test coolant System
this drill press comes with a pump-driven cycling
coolant system. prior to testing the coolant sys-
tem, add two gallons of coolant to the coolant res-
ervoir. refer to changing coolant on Page 28.
To test the coolant system:
1.
Wear safety goggles and other protective
clothing.
2.
Aim the coolant nozzle into the trough to
reduce splash (see figure 13).

3.
turn the Coolant pump switch to the on
position.
4.
Adjust the ball valve in the coolant nozzle
assembly for the proper coolant flow (see
figure 14).

5.
Close the ball valve and turn the pump switch
to the oFF position.
Running the pump without adequate cool-
ant can significantly damage the pump,
which will not be covered under warranty.
