Tilting Headstock

Loosen the three locking hex nuts (see
Figures 13–14).

using the scale shown in Figure 13 as a
guide, swivel the headstock and re-tighten
the three hex nuts to secure it.
4.
re-tighten the hex nuts before connecting to
power.

Table Travel

the table travels in two directions, as illustrated
in Figure 15:
X-axis (longitudinal)
y-axis (cross)
these movements are controlled by handwheels
and the X-axis power feed.

Graduated Index Rings

the handwheels have graduated scales that are
used to determine table movement in 0.001" incre-
ments, with one full revolution equalling 0.100".
use the thumb screw shown in Figure 16 to adjust
the graduated dial for a relative starting point.
