In addition to the features and
controls shown on Page 10,
Models 34311, 34313 and 34328
have the features and controls de-
scribed below.
Engine Speed Lever
This control (see Figure 3-6) regu-
lates the speed of the engine and
the blade. For best mower perfor-
mance, run the engine at FAST
speed. Using this control is fully
described in the Operation Section.
Wheel Drive Control Bar
This bar (see Figure 3-6) engages
the wheels and allows the mower
to move forward at the speed set
by the Wheel Speed Adjustment
Knob.
Wheel Speed Adjustment
Knob
This rotary knob (see Figure 3-6),
controls the forward speed of the
mower. The knob has speed set-
tings from SLOW (1) to FAST
(5). The use of this control is fully
described in the Operation
Section.
Blade Brake Control Bar and
Lever
The bar located in front of the
handlebar is a Blade Brake
Control Bar with associated Blade
Brake Control Lever (see Figure
3-6). In a two step procedure, the
Blade Brake Control Bar and
Lever engage the blade. When the
Blade Brake Control Bar is re-
leased, the Blade Brake Control
Lever is automatically released.
Releasing the Blade Brake
Control Bar only stops the blade
and does not stop the engine.
