Using the Supplied Software with a Computer
An image stored in the DVCassetta can be transferred to your Personal
Computer.
IBSystem Requirements for PHOTOVU LINK & ArcSoft
• iBM PC/AT or compatible.
• Intel ® PentJum ® Processor: 266MHz or more
• Microsoft Windows®95/98/Me, Wiodows®2000
• CD-ROM drive (for installation)
• Mouse or other pointing device
PHOTOVU LINK:
• RAM: 16 MB or more
• 2MB minimum available hard disk space (for installation)
• 256 color monitor (full color recommended)
• RS-232C serial port {D-Sub 9-pin). An adaptor (D-Sub 9-1_inmale to a D-
Sub female) is required for a D-Sub 25-pin.
ArcSoft:
• RAM: 64 MB or more
• 220 MB minimum available hard disk space (for installation)
• High color (16bit) or more
tJSB Reader/Writer for SD Memory Card:
• Please refer to page 45, regarding the system requirements of USB
Reader/Writer lot SD Memory Card.
EEConnections
1 Connect the Palmcorder to your Computer (Windows) using
the RS-232C PC Connection Cable (supplied).
• Before connecting the Palmcorder to the Computer, make sure the
Computer is off to insure that images are transferred properly.
2 Turn your Computer on.
3 Set the Palmcorder to VCR Mode.
• For extended periods of use, it is recommended to use the AC Adaptor as a
power source,
• Refer to Computer or Windows operating instructions to identify which CaM
port to be used for connection,
Software Installation
(Windows ® 95/98/Me, Windows ® 2000)
11 Turn on Computer and start up Windows.
Insert supplied CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.
• [Setup Menu] O appears.
3 Select the software to be installed from [Setup Menu].
• PHOTOVU LINK (-_ 43):
Software to transfer Image from your Palmcorder to your PC,
• USB Reader/Writer Device Driver (-_ 45, 46) :
Software for US_ Reader/Writer allows you to transfer images directly
off of the memory card into the computer
(Please refer to page 45 to inslall the dr_ver of the USB Reader/Writer
for SD Memory Card,)
• ArcSoft software (-_ 44):
"Panorama Maked" 2000", "Photolmpression
TM
2000" and
"PhotoPrinter ® 2000 Pro" are included.
4 Follow the Instructions on the computer screen until the
installation Is complete.
• Setup window will disappear when the installation is complete,
Note:
If a window does not appear automatically, click the "Start" Button on your
desktop and then click "Run", When the "Run" Box is open, type in
"O:\lnstMenu.exe" and click "OK". ("D" applies when the CO-RaM ddve is
drive D.)
