Recording
in Natural
Colors
(White Balance)
Depending on the scene or light condition+ the Automatic White Balance
Adjustment
Mode may not be able to bring out natural colors. In such a case,
the white balance can be.adjusted
manually.

Set the Mode
Selector
Switch
to [MANUAL].
• The {MNL] Indication appears.,

Press
the [PUSH]
Dial.
eThe [AWB} indication appears.

Rotate
the [PUSH]
Dial to set a desired
White
Balance
Mode.

The White Balance setting that was previously set manually
_) Fluorescent light Mode
_) Outdoor Mode
Indoor Mode (shooting under incandescent
lamp)
To Resume
Automatic
Adjustment
Rotate th e [PUSH] Dial until the {AWB] tndication appears. Or, set the Mode
Selector Switch to [AUTO].

Adjusting
White Balance
Manually
When the Auto White Balance Adjustment
function does not operate under
the existing light conditions, use the Manual White Balance Adjustment
mode,

Set the Mode
Selector
Switch
to [MANUAL].
+ The [MNL] Indication appears.

Press
the [PUSH]
Dial.
= The [AWB] Indication appears.

Rotate
the [PUSH]
Dial until the [_=,_] !ndication
is displayed.

Point
the Palmcorder
at a full-screen
white
subject,
and then
keep the [PUSH]
Dial pressed
until Indication
[_=,_ ] stops
flashing.
• When the {_=_] Indication flashes after turning the Palmcorder on, the
previously
adjusted white balance setting is still kept.
To Resume
Automatic
Adjustment
Rotate [PUSH] Dial until the {AWB] Indication is displayed, Or, set the Mode
Selector Switch to [AUTO].
Use of Auto White Balance Adjustment
in inappropriate lighting conditions
may result in reddish or bluish images. Where the subject is found on the left
but surrounded
by many light-sources,
Auto White Balance Adjustment
may
not operate properly. In such case we suggest that you adjust the White
Balance.
