Illnstalling the driver of the USB Reader/Writer for SD
Memory Card (Windows ® 2000)
1 Turn on the power of the computer, and start Windows.
2 Insert the supplied CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive, and then
click [EXIT] after the menu Window appears.
• It takesthe computerseveral seconds to recognize the CD-ROM.
3 Plug the USB Reader/Writer for SD Memory Card's
connector _) into the USB port O on the computer.
eThe [Add New HardwareWizard] windowappears when the uSB
Reader/Writerfor SD Memory Card has been connectedto the
computer for the first time,
4 Click [Next].
5 To select the search method, select [Search fora suitable
driver for my device (recommended).] and click [Next].
6 Select the [CD-ROM Drives] and click [Next].
7 After checking that the file name is "sdca2k.inf" _), click
[Next].
8 When a display appears to indicate that the USB Reader/
Writer for SD Memory Card has been installed, click [Finish].
9 Open [My Computer] or ['Windows Explorer] etc., to check
the drive is displayed as a removable disk drive 0-

Hold the Memory Card with its label facing upward and the cut-off comer to
the right 0, and insert it into the Card Slot.
• Do not remove the Memory Card while the [ACCESS] tamp 0 lights.
• Be sure to insert the Memory Card all the way into the USB Reader,NVdter
for SD Memory Card untiJ it stops.
• Forcefully inserting the Memory Card in the wrong direction may damage
the USB Reader,/writer for SD Memory Card and/or the Memory Card.
IIOperations on the Computer
When the Memory Card is inserted, the USB Reader/',Ndter for SO Memory
Card operates like a ttoppy disk drive, and you can use the same drag and
drop or copy methods.
• If the computer has been connected via two or more USB cables or ff
another dedicated adaptor has been connected to the USB ReaderNVdter
for SD Memory Card, operation may not be performed properly.
• If you are using a notebook computer, be sure to connect its AC adaptor.
mlmage Data on the Memory Card
It you double click the Removable Disk icon _), the folders are displayed.
(Dcim\lOOedpfp) The Image Data recorded by this Palmcorder is JPEG
Format. (Example: ImgaOOOt.jpg)
• if you change the file name, it may not be possible to play back the
corresponding picture(s) on the Palmcorder.
• Pictures that you have edited or composed on a computer can be saved on
the Memory Card, however, they may not be played back on the
Palmcorder.
