Care and cleaning of the range, gecom
Be sure all controls are off and all surfaces are cool before cleaning any part of the range.
If your range is removed for cleaning, servicing or any reason, be sure the anti-tip
device is reengaged properly when the range is replaced. Failure to take this
precaution could result in tipping of the range and cause injury.

The bumer cap has three to fourples.
When replacing the cap, make sure
none of the pins sits in the stabitio
chamber:

How to Remove Protective Shipping Film and Packaging Tape
Careflflly grasp a corner of the protective
shiI)ping film with wmr finge_ and slowly
peel it fl'om the appliance smtace. Do
not use any sha_ 1) items to remove the
fihn. Remove all of the fihn before using
the appliance fiw the first time.
To aSStlI'e no daIllage is done to

finish of the i)roduct, the saiest way to
remove the adhesive fl'om packaging tape
on new appliances is an application oI a
household liquid dishwashing detergent.
Apply with a soft cloth and allow to soak.
NOTE:Theadhesive mustberemoved fromall
parts./tcannot b e removed if it isbakedon.
Burner Caps and Heads
The bm'ner assemblies should be washed
regularly and, of coui_e, after spillove_.
Turn a// controls off before removing burner parts.

The electrode of the spark igniter is
exposed beyond the S/li'J_iice of the
bm'ner base. When
cleaning the cooktop,
be careflfl not to snag the electrode ot
the spark igniter with )_)m" cleaning
cloth. Damage to the igniter could occm:

avoidsnagging
a cloth on the
spark
igniter, leave the burner heads in place
when cleaning the cooktop.
Be careflfl not to push
in any cooktop
controls while cleaning the cooktop.
A slight electrical shock might result
which could catlse veil to knock over
hot cookware.
Wash bm'ner parts with an all-pml)ose
non-abrasive cleaner and wam_ water:
Soak stubborn soil. D_' them with a
cloth--do not reassemble while wet.
To reassemble, replace the bm'ner head
fi_t, then the bm'ner cap and finally the
burner grate.
Make sure that the heads and caps are
replaced in the correct locations. There
is one small, one medium, one large
and one extra large l)tu'ner head
and cap.
