Taking Pictures for a Panorama
Tile camera
focuses
on tile subject
in tile center
of the frame. Use a tripod
for best
results. Set Vibration
reduction
([_[_ 143) to Off when
using a tripod
to stabilize
tile camera
during
shooting.

Usethe
multi
selectortochoose
_
Panorama
assist
from
the
scene
menu
and
press
the
button
(_40).
• Tile _ icon is displayed to show tile direction
in which
pictures will be joined.

selector
to choose
the direction
and press
the
_)
button.
• Decide how pictures will bejoined
together in the
completed
panorama; right (_), left (4), up (Cs) or
down (_).
• The yellow panorama direction icon C>_) will move to
the direction pressed, so press the _) button to choose
the direction. A white panorama direction icon (E))will be displayed in the chosen
direction.
• Apply flash mode (_32),
self-timer ([_35),
focus mode ([_36)
and exposure
compensation
(_39)
settings with this step, if necessary.
• Press the _) button again to reselect the direction.
Shoot
the first
picture.
• The picture taken will be displayed in 1/3
ofthe monitor.

Shoot
the second
picture.
• Match the outline of the next picture so that
one third of the frame overlaps on to the
previous picture, and press the shutter release
button.
• Repeat until you have taken the necessary
number of pictures to complete
the image.
