Night portrait
_
Use this mode to achieve a natural balance between the main
subject and background
lighting in portraits taken at night.
• The camera automatically
detects and focuses on a face
looking toward the camera (see "Shooting with Face Priority"
([_Q] 23) for more information).
• If the camera detects multiple faces, the camera focuses on
the face closest to the camera.
• If no face is recognized, the camera will focus on the subject in the center of the frame.
• The Did someone blink? screen may be displayed when the Blink warning
option
(I_]149)
in the setup menu is set to On (default settinq). Press the _) button or the shutter-
release button to return to the shooting
screen. See "Operating the Did someone blink?
Screen" ([_150)
for more information.
• Shoot pictures with the built in flash raised.
• Digital zoom is not available.
• Motion detection (_144)is
disabled.
