Priority
• When Face priority
is selected
for AF area
mode,
the setting
will automatically
switch to Auto if
no _ce is detected
when
the shutter
release button
is pressed hal_ay.
• If no face is recognized
when the shutter
release button
is pressed halfway
in the Portrait
or Night
portrait
scene modes, the camera
will focus on the subject
in the center
focus area,
• The camera
may be unable to detect
faces in the following
situations:
When faces are partially
hidden
by sunglasses
or other
obstructions
When the subject
is not looking
directly
at the camera
When faces take up too much or too little of the frame
• The camera's ability to detect
faces depends
on a variety
of factors,
including
whether
or not the
subiect
is facing the camera.
• in some rare cases of shooting
subjects
with which
autofocus
may not perform
as expected
(_29),
the subject
may not be in focus despite
the fact that the double
border
glows green.
Should
this occur, change
the AF area mode
setting
to Manual
or Center
in P, _, A, M, U 1 and
U _ modes,
refocus
on another
subject
positioned
at the same distance
from the camera
as the
actual
portrait
subject,
and use focus lock (_29),
Pictures that were shot using face priority
will be rotated
automatically
when
displayed
in full
frame or thumbnail
playback
mode
according
to the orientation
of the face,
