Preset Manual
Preset manual is used with mixed lighting or to compensate for light sources with
a strong color cast when the desired effect has not been achieved with settings like
Auto and Incandescent
(for example, to make images shot under a lamp with a
red shade look as though they had been shot under white light).

Place a white or gray reference
object under the lighting
that will be
used during
shooting.

Use the multi selector
to choose PREPreset
manual
in the white
balance menu, and press
the _) button.
• The cameralensextendsto a position that is half of the
camera'smaximum optical zoom.

Choose Measure.
• To use the most recently measuredvaluefor preset
manual,chooseCancel and pressthe _) button. The
most recentlymeasuredvalue will be setfor white
balance.

Frame the reference
object.

button
to measure
the
white
balance
value.
• The shutter is released and the new white-balance
value is set.
• No images are recorded.

Note on Preset Manual
Regardless
of the flash mode
selected, the flash will not fire when the _) button
is pressed in step S,
Therefore,
the camera
cannot
measure
a value for preset manual
for when the flash is used,
