Ifft/L_JFormat Memory/Format Card
Press the MENUbutton _ V (Setup menu) (_ 135) _ Format memory/Format card
Use this option to format the internal memory or a memory card.
Formatting the Internal Memory
To format tile internal memory, remove tile memory
card from tile camera. Tile Format memory
option
appears in tile setup menu.
Formatting a Memory Card
When the memory card is inserted in the camera, the
Format card option appears in the setup menu.

• Formatting the internal memory or memory cards permanently deletes all data, Be sure to transfer
important pictures to a computer before _rmatting,
• Donotturnthecameraoff, disconnecttheACadapter, oropenthebatterychamber/memorycard
slot cover during formatting,
• The first time you insert the memory cards used in other devices into this camera, be sure to format
them with this camera,
