(shooting

=) ISO sensitivity
Sensitivity is a measure of how quickly the camera reacts to light. The higher the sensitivity,
the less light needed to make an exposure. Although
a high ISO
rating
is suitable for shooting
pictures of subjects in action or in poor lighting, high sensitivity is often associated with
"noise" - randomly
spaced, brightly colored pixels concentrated
in dark parts of the image.
Auto (,default setting)
Sensitivity is ]SO 64 in bright places; in dark places tile camera automatically
raises
sensitivity to a maximum of ISQ 800. In M (manual) mode, sensitivity will be fixed at
ISQ 64 if Auto
is chosen.
High ISO sensitivity
auto
The ISO sensitivity is set automatically
within the range of ISO 64 to 1600 according
to the brightness of the subject. In M (manual) mode, sensitivity will be fixed at [SO
64 if High ISO sensitivity
auto is chosen.
Fixed range auto
Choose the range in which the camera automatically
adjusts ISO sensitivity, from ISO
64-I O0 (default setting), ISO 64-200
or ISO 64-400. Tile camera will not raise
sensitivity beyond the maximum value in the selected range. Set the maximum value
for ISO sensitivity for effective control over the amount of "grain" that appears in
images. In M (manual) mode, sensitivity will be fixed at [SO 64 if Fixed range auto
is chosen.
64, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1600, 3200, 6400
ISO Sensitivity will be locked at the specified value.
At settings
other
than
Auto, the current
setting
is displayed
in the monitor
([_8).
If Auto is selected and the sensitivity is raised above ISO 64, the _
icon will be displayed
([_34).
When High ISO sensitivity
auto is selected _
will be displayed, and _
and the
maximum
[SO sensitivity value are displayed when Fixed range auto is selected.
