control

way
in either
direction
will
adjust
the
zoom
quickly, while rotating

control
partially will ad]ust

slowly.
A zoom indicator is displayed at the top of the monitor
when the zoom control is rotated.

VVhen tile camera is already at tile maximum optical zoom magnificatk)n, rotating
tile zoom control in tile T direction will trigger digital zoom. Tile sub]ect carl be
magnified up to 4x of the maximum optical zoom ratio.
Focus will be on the center of the frame and the focus area will not be displayed
when digital zoom is in effect.

Unlike optical
zoom,
digital
zoom
uses a digital
imaging
process known
as interpolation
to magnify
images,
resu king in slight
deterioration
of picture
quality
according
to the image

digital zoom

Interpolation
is applied
at zoom
positions
beyond

is increased
beyond
the
position,
interpolation
is initiated
and the zoom
indicator
turns yellow
to indicate
that interpolation
is being applied.

size decreases,
allowing
for confirmation
of the zoom

to restrict the
magnification
of the digital zoom

a range where
