Set the recording mode.
elf you are not going to change the recording mode, press [Y]

(1_ Press [&, Y] to select "Dubbing Mode" and press [1_].

Press [&, V] to select "VIDEO" and press [ENTER].

Register titles and playlists for
transfer (dubbing).
elf you are going to transfer (dub) a registered list without
making any changes to it (-_ step 6).
(1_Press [&, Y] to select "Create List" and press [1_].
_ Press [A, y] to select "New item" and press [ENTER].
_ Press the "Red" button to select "VIDEO" or press the
"Green" button to select "PLAYLISTS".
(4_ Press [&, _', "4, I_] to select the titles or playlists and
press [ENTER].
eWhen transferring (dubbing) to DVD-R, DVD-RW (DVD-
Video format) or +R using high speed mode, only items
indicated with _;.,!_:_ can be registered.
eTo select a multiple number of items together, press
[11] to add the check mark and press [ENTER]
(=_right, Multiple editing).
eTo show other pages (=_ right)
eTo edit the transferring (dubbing) list (=o46)
You can register a multiple number of titles and
playlists on the transferring (dubbing) list by repeating
steps (2_-(4_.
You cannot start transferring (dubbing) when the value of
the "Size" (-_ right) exceeds 100% ("Destination Capacity"
is not sufficient).
(5_ Press [_1] to confirm.
Press [&, T] to select "Start
Dubbing" and press [ENTER].
Selecting the DVD drive speed _
1 Press [&] to select "DVD drive speed".
2 Press [_1, I_] to select "Maximum" or "Normal (Silent)" and
press [Y].
eSelecting "Normal (Silent)" means the noise generated by
this unit is less than "Maximum", however the time required
for transferring (dubbing) will double (approximately).
"_Only when transferring (dubbing) to 5× high speed
recording compatible DVD-RAM, 8× high speed recording
compatible DVD-R or 8x high speed recording compatible
+R in High speed mode
Press ['4, I_] to select "Yes" and
press [ENTER] to start transferring
(dubbing).
• To stop transferring (dubbing)
Press and hold [RETURN] for 3 seconds.
• If stopped partway, transferring (dubbing) will be up to that
point. However. in high speed mode. or y titles that have
completed transferring (dubbing) at the point stopped are
transferred ,'_dubbed). [Even if the title was not transferred
(dubbed) to the DVD-R. DVD-RW _DVD-Video format) or +R
the amount of remaining writable disc space becomes less.]

Press [RETURN].
• Recording and playing while transferring
(dubbing)
You can record and play using the HDD while high speed
transferring (dubbing).
Press [ENTER] to cancel the screen display.

• You cannot perform chasing play or edit etc. while transferring
(dubbing).
eTimer recordings executed while transferring (dubbing) are
recorded to the HDD regardless of the recording drive settings.
eYou cannot play a playlist while transferring _dubbing) titles with
"One time only recording" restriction _-_ 43'_.
To play DVD-R, DVD-RW (DVD-Video format) and +R on other
players, it is necessary to finalize them after transfer (dubbing).

according to the recording mode.
eThe total data size shown may be
larger than the sum of the data sizes
for each registered item, because of
data management information being
written to the transfer (dubbing)
destination, etc.

Press [A, Y, "4, I_] to select "Previous" or "Next" and press
[ENTER].
eYou can also press [1441, ID,_] to show other pages.
Multiple editing
Select with [A, Y, "4, I_] and press [11]. (Repeat.)
Press [ENTER] to register to the list.
eA check mark appears. Press [11] again to cancel.
eWhen you switch between the "VIDEO" and "PLAYLISTS" tab,
the check mark is cancelled.
