<Cause> The home position cannot be detected by the home
position sensor.
<Suspected Parts> Home position sensor, carriage motor, paper
Check for paper jams, wear/deterioration/dislocation of the
carriage belt, deformation of the carriage guide frame, scratching/
bending of the guide shaft, etc.
Move the carriage manually and check that it moves smoothly
and there is no abnormal noise or there is no major damage on
the carriage ribbon cable.

Repair/replace faulty
parts
Check for the proper operation of the carriage unit, and that
no part is out of sync.

Carriage motor check
Disconnect the carriage motor cable from
the control board to check.
