Calibrate Margins
In this exercise, you will calibrate the printer's margins.
The Calibrate Margins adjustment is used to shift the printed image left-to-right or top-to-bottom.
If a Duplex Unit is installed, adjustments are also available to shift the printed image for two-
sided printing.

Perform the light color balance adjustment:
From the Calibrate Colors Menu, select Balance Colors, then press OK. The Light

Color Balance Page is generated.
Follow the instructions on the page to adjust the light color balance. Adjust the light
■
color balance until the desired balance is achieved.
Perform the dark color balance adjustment:
Select Continue With Dark Color Balance. The Dark Color Balance Page is
■
generated.
Follow the instructions on the page to adjust the dark color balance. Adjust the dark
■
color balance until the desired balance is achieved.
Select Accept Changes and Exit to return to the main menu.

Print the Calibrate Margins Page:
At the Front Panel, scroll to Support Menu, then press OK.

Select Improve Print Quality?, then press OK.
■
Select Print Calibrate Margins Page, then press OK. The Calibrate Margins Page
■
is generated.
Locate and record the current margin adjustment values:
Scroll to Calibrate Margins Menu, then press OK.
■
Select Adjust Side 1 "A" Margin, then press OK.
