Unplug the power cord, wait 20 seconds, plug the power cord in again, and
restart the NetServer.
If you suspect a hardware error, follow these steps:
a.
Log users off the LAN and power down the server.
b.
Extend the HP NetServer out of the rack.
c.
Simplify the HP NetServer configuration to the minimum required:
Monitor
Keyboard
Mouse
1 hard disk drive and 1 flexible disk drive
1 flexible, and one hard disk drive
1 CD-ROM
d. Remove all third-party options and reinstall each one, one at a time,
checking the NetServer after each installation.
e.
Close all access panels and reconnect the power cords and other
cables.
f.
Start the HP NetServer and, if it does not function properly, refer to
the following procedures.

If the System Does Not Power On

Follow these steps:
1. Check that all cables and power cords are firmly plugged into their proper
receptacles.
2. Check that all parts of the system are turned on and properly adjusted.
3. If the NetServer is plugged into a switched multiple-outlet box, make sure
the switch on the outlet box is turned on.
4. Plug a different electrical device (such as a printer) into the power outlet
and turn it on.
5. Unplug the power cord, wait 20 seconds, plug the power cord in again, and
restart the system.
